Southern Resident orca J35/Tahlequah is on her second Tour of Grief, after carrying her first dead female calf for 17 days and over 1000 miles in 2018. After the recent death of her calf J61, she is grieving again in 2025 for all to see. The world ’s attention must focus on these iconic and beloved fish-eating orcas and the race to save them.
Please SIGN AND SHARE our petition: Breach the four Lower Snake River dams to recover wild salmon so that Southern Resident Orcas have enough to sustain healthy bodies. Share with friends, family and everyone you know who cares about the orcas and ask them to sign & share as well!
932,000 people have already signed and it must be pushed to the MILLION mark to get the attention of those with the power to act!

Ask that he issue an executive order to immediately breach the four fish-killing lower Snake River dams to recover Snake River wild chinook that have sustained the fish-eating Southern Resident Orcas (a.k.a. Southern Resident Killer Whales) for many thousands of years. He has the power.
Lack of chinook salmon is the primary reason the Southern Resident orca population is declining and a critical issue impacting pregnancies and nursing calves. Let’s make sure Tahlequah and the Southern Residents get our help this time.
WE CAN FIX THIS! Starvation is solved with food.
Breaching the four lower Snake River dams is the single best opportunity to provide the Southern Resident orcas enough salmon to allow them to recover and thrive. Without enough salmon to sustain their health, nurse their babies and thrive, they are rapidly going extinct.
