Wild Salmon and Orcas Are in Critical Condition

  • After 20 years and more than $17,000,000,000 (that’s $17 billion) spent on failing federal fish recovery efforts, Snake River wild salmon and steelhead are in critical condition and face the threat of imminent extinction.

  • NOAA has identified the endangered Southern Resident Killer Whales as one of the eight marine populations most at risk of extinction.

  • Only 75 Southern Residents are alive today, down from an estimated population of 140 whales.
